In 1986, Dr. Glen Davies partnered with a paediatrician in North Delta to offer psychological services to patients being referred to the paediatrician and who needed psychological intervention. Word of mouth soon had Dr. Davies inundated with families requesting his services.
A psychologist colleague, known for his experience with children with developmental disabilities, was invited to join the practice. When the paediatric office started bursting at the seams, the two psychologists moved out into their own office and ABLE Developmental Clinic was born.
Families come to the clinic looking for help for their children with developmental or behavioural problems. Although ABLE supports children and families with all kinds of difficulties, ABLE became known for work with individuals with learning disabilities, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, disruptive behavior, and autism spectrum disorders. ABLE Developmental Clinic has grown to three busy offices and over 40 Associates representing several professional disciplines.
