Registered Clinical Counsellors
Salma Azmy
Salma Azmy is a Master’s student in Counselling Psychology at Adler University in Vancouver, currently completing her practicum under the supervision of Dr. Todd Mason. Salma’s focus lies in building genuine, meaningful connections and providing compassionate, trauma-informed support to children, youth, and families. She is passionate about supporting young people through anxiety, depression, and trauma, helping them explore their identities and strengths in a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space. Her approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s unique journey. She integrates person-centred and narrative therapy principles with practical, evidence-based strategies like CBT to promote growth, resilience, and self-discovery. Salma values cultural awareness and adapts her work to align with each client’s lived experiences, values, and needs. Outside of work and study, Salma enjoys exploring the outdoors, staying active, and connecting with her community. She believes in the transformative power of play and curiosity to spark creativity and build connections, both in therapy and everyday life. Salma is driven by a deep desire to make a difference and empower others to thrive.
